Sorry it has been so long since my last update. I have been pretty busy with my new teaching job. We are starting to get snow here in Denver and at the ski resorts in Colorado. This past weekend, Joey and I went to Beaver Creek, CO, and skied for three days. My skiing has improved greatly, and I am now able to ski the blue slopes. We probably got three + feet of snow while we were in Beaver Creek, and the temperature never exceeded twenty degrees. It was chilly!

On November 1, 2008, Joey and I attended the Marine Corps Ball here in Denver. I have included a picture from the event.





Joey and I are looking forward to seeing everyone in Savannah over the holidays. Merry Christmas!!

GREAT AMERICAN BEER FESTIVAL (DENVER)

On Saturday, October 11th, Joey and I attended the Great American Beer Festival at the Denver Convention Center. It is the largest craft beer festival in the US. It is a three day event and tickets are sold for different sessions where people can come and sample the beers. We lucked out and got free tickets on Saturday afternoon for the evening sampling. All three days were sold out. We visited the Moon River Brewery and had a nice chat with the folks there. I still think Moon River's Wacky Witt is one of my all time favorites!! Check out our pics!!

Navy vs. Air Force Oct. 2008

On October 4th, Joey and I went to Colorado Springs to see Navy take on Air Force. We went down with friends, Matt and Leena. Matt graduated from USNA in 2000. The weather was nice, but it started to get a bit chilly after half time. Navy won 33-27! Check out the pics!! Fly Over #1

Labor Day Weekend (Thunder in the Rockies)

On Saturday, August 30th, Joey and I went to Loveland, Colorado. Joey was asked to swear in the new Marines at a festival called Thunder in the Rockies. I have included pictures and videos. We had excellent weather. I got a bit sunburned.

This was a local mime group. We thought it was very similar to the "Happy Hands Chior" from Napoleon Dynamite. Take a look!

On July 31st, I went out for drinks at Jalapenos with my Rincon co-workers to say bye. We also celebrated Brenda's 25th Birthday!! I'm going to miss my team. I will try to be a little better about updating the blog.

Joey's Promotion to Capt. Kistler

July 1st - Today I went to Invesco Field (Where the Broncos play) to see Joey get promoted to Captain!! CONGRATULATIONS CAPTAIN KISTLER!!! The ceremony was on the 50 yard line. Check out the pics!!
